Good to Know

Frequently Asked Questions

Answers to the questions travelers ask us most when planning a Tanzania safari.

Tanzania is excellent year-round. The dry season (June to October) offers the easiest game viewing and the famous Mara River crossings, while the green season (December to March) brings the calving in the southern Serengeti with dramatic predator action. We help you pick the window that matches your wildlife goals.

Our mid-range private safaris start from around $1,000 per person for a short 3-day route, with most travelers spending $250–$600 per person per day depending on lodges, park fees, and season. Every quote is all-inclusive of guiding, vehicle, park fees, meals, and transfers.

Packages include a private 4x4 vehicle with an expert English-speaking guide, all park and conservation fees, accommodation, meals as specified, drinking water on drives, and airport transfers. International flights, visas, tips, and personal expenses are not included.

Most nationalities need a tourist visa, which can be obtained online (e-visa) or on arrival. A Yellow Fever certificate is required if you arrive from a country with risk of transmission, and anti-malarial precautions are strongly recommended. We send a full pre-departure checklist after booking.

Yes. Tanzania is one of Africa's most stable safari destinations and our guides are trained in wildlife safety and first aid. We monitor conditions constantly and provide 24/7 support throughout your trip.

Absolutely. Every itinerary is tailor-made. We arrange family-friendly pacing and interconnecting rooms, private honeymoon touches, and photography-focused timing and positioning — just tell us what matters most to you.

For peak season (July–September) and the migration river crossings, we recommend booking 6–12 months ahead to secure the best lodges. Shorter-notice and last-minute trips are often possible outside peak dates — get in touch and we'll check availability.
